ACTION PLAN TO BE FOLLOWED BEFORE EXAMS!!
11th June is not very far away. Foundation, Inter and Final examinations are going to start from 11th June, 2018. So it is time to get very serious! In this article we are going to discuss about how to utilize this precious time in the best possible manner.
First of all calculate the number of days you have and the number of chapters/topics you have to cover. This is very important and you should exercise your judgment with caution. Many things varies from person to person. For example one may feel comfortable with marginal costing and so he/she can complete it in a short period of time but some another student may not be that fluent with marginal costing so in that case he needs more time to complete the same. So while deciding one must access his/her command over various subjects as well as topics.

Now you have 20 days and assuming you have to cover 4 papers, don’t randomly divide the subjects over various days as some subjects may require more time than the other. After dividing subjects, narrow down your focus to particular subjects because now you have to divide the various chapters of that particular subject among the days allotted to that subject only.
For example, out of 20 days you allotted 6 days for Financial Accounting, after allotting 6 days for FA now you need to allocate the various chapters over these 6 days on the basis of the length, criticality of chapters and your command over various chapters. Remember you don’t need to study FA continuously for 6 days, it is all about allocation and we will talk about this aspect in coming paragraphs.
Of course a student has to study day and night but some students can study more during day time and some during night, so you must note this aspect when making your action plan. For example if a student can study more during day time then he must study lengthy and critical chapters during day time and easy or short chapters during night time.

Generally a subject contains both theory and practical, so a student must know which thing (theory or practical) he can complete in short period of time. Also some students prefer to study theory in morning or day time and practical in afternoon or night time. It wholly depends on the likes of student.
Continuing our first example suppose you allotted 6 days to FA out of 20 days and now divide your chapters between day and night or morning/afternoon/evening/night keeping in mind about theory vs practical aspect. Remember you don’t need to revise all the chapters, you may plan to revise critical/tough chapters only. You also don’t need to revise FA continuously for 6 days (6 days means 6 days and 6 nights). Ideally you should keep shifting between various subjects after a certain time interval or completion of a particular chapter/topic, in this way you will not get bored. But always keep in mind the total time (including morning/afternoon/evening/night) you have allocated to that subject!

These plans should be written down on a paper and adhered to strictly. You may swap subjects/topics as per situation. Sometimes your time allocation for a particular topic may fail, in that case you have to adjust the time already exceeded in some other subject/topic. You may need to revise your plan again and again because many things we can’t foresee or decide in advance, that’s why you must keep 1-2 days extra like a buffer stock!
